Matthew Parry

Welsh rugby player Mathew Parry suffered a severe neck injury on Saturday 15th Sept 2018 while playing for Pwllheli RFC against his former club Bethesda.

Following the injury, Mathew underwent emergency surgery to fuse bones and insert a plate into the top of his spine. Mathew has suffered serious damage but thankfully the operation was successful in saving his spinal cord however he still has a very long road to recovery.

Mathew, 33 from Tregarth, is a scaffolder and will no longer be able to work in the immediate future and his rugby career is also over. A fund has been set up to raise some much needed funds to help Mathew and his young family cover the medical costs and day to day living expenses until he is back on his feet and able to earn an income again.

The Voyagers are pleased to be supporting Matthew and his family at this difficult time.
