Gone but not forgotten

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to 3 staunch supporters of The Voyagers.

Patrice Auroux died in November. A proud frenchman, he and his wife Maggie were great supporters of the Voyagers over the years and their move to Penarth several years ago didn’t stop them attending our various annual events. Patrice was a great bon viveur and raconteur and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with Maggie and their family.

Graham ‘Winky’ Davies was one of a kind - a true character who thought he was Cliff Richard, he lived life to the full. A generous and highly entertaining man, Graham died in December and will be missed by all who knew him.

Rob ‘Squeak’ Weekley died suddenly in January. A genius on the keyboard, Squeak was still performing several times a week with his band until his untimely death. Who can forget his post-match sing-alongs at ODP or his wonderful keyboard skills over many years at the Voyagers Christmas Lunch? Anyone who could accompany the post-lunch karaoke with such aplomb was clearly a gifted musician. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lesley and their family.
